Roadmap AAL Interoperability

Welcome to the RAALI Research Project

RAALI is a project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The joint research project develops concepts that enable or simplify the implementation of interoperable systems and components in the field of Ambient Assisted Living (AAL). The project with a duration of 24 months has started on July 1st, 2011.

What does RAALI do?

The main goal of the project is the development of methods, components and interfaces for the implementation of interoperable AAL systems and components. Interoperability, i. e. the capability of AAL systems and components to work together, is one essential requirement for successful market introduction of AAL systems.

The RAALI project works on three topics that all contribute to guaranteeing the interoperability of AAL systems:

  1. Development of a German national roadmap for AAL interoperability,
  2. Development of integration profiles for AAL systems, and a
  3. Market overview of available AAL middleware platforms.
